Michael’s background stems from touring theatre shows and television work including ITV’s A Touch of Frost. Recent commendable writing works have been for Kellogg’s and the Royal Mail where he achieved huge success. Michael continues to be very creative in devising new comedy entertainment events as well as acting, performing and directing shows for the public.

Amy Forrest

Amy Forrest

Amy is the winner of Monologueslam Manchester. She trained in straight Acting and Musical Theatre performing in theatres all over the UK such as The Theatre Royal in Bury St Edmonds, Yvonne Arnaud in Guildford, Arts Depot in London, The Lowry in Manchester and at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2009 and 2010. Aswell as theatres she has worked in pilot TV dramas and a comedy sketch show starring Johnny Vegas with Channel K in Manchester.
Philip McGuinness

Philip McGuinness

Philip graduated from Edge Hill University in 2012 and 2014 with a 1st Class Degree in Drama and as an ‘Outstanding’ teacher in his PGCE. Philip has a wide variety of experience ranging from producing and directing his own theatre work with his own company and as an actor he has stared alongside Stephen Graham in new film ‘Being Keegan’ and has recently played Michael Corleone in a reworking on the famous ‘Today I settled all family business” scene with original actor Gianni Russo. Philip’s ultimate ambition is to play The Doctor on BBC’s Doctor Who.

John is an established professional actor, with a rare talent for live improvisational theatre. John also has extensive television experience, with many roles in leading television programmes.
Joshua Plummer

Joshua Plummer

Joshua graduated from the BA (Hons) Acting & Stage Combat at East 15 Acting School in 2013. Since then, his recent theatre work has included ‘Yes, Prime Minister’ with Bootcamp Productions, Laura Wade’s ‘Posh’ with Penny Short Theatre, tours with Rainbow Theatre and a run with the monthly, satirical comedy group ‘The Treason Show’. Joshua has also featured in TV and Film projects with National Geographic, Blink Productions and Raw TV. He is also a writer, voice artist and a rugby enthusiast!

John won Best Actor at the Fringe Report Awards 2011 and was nominated for Best Actor in the Off West End awards this year. Theatre credits include Goodbye The (After) life of Cook & Moore (Leicester Sq Theatre & Gilded Balloon Edinburgh).  Maggie’s End (Gala Theatre Durham) Pete & Me (Devonshire Pk Eastbourne & New End). Television credits include My Family & Hotel Babylon (BBC), The Queens Sister (C4), Dream Team (Sky); History’s Hardest Prisons (Nat Geo Channel) Film credits include The Devils Business (Frightfest 2011), The Drummond Will, Death, Axed, The Tragedy of Albert, Innocent.
Paul Nolan

Paul Nolan

Paul has worked extensively in touring theatre, performance comedy, television, corporate video, film, and physical theatre, spanning twenty five years. He was a director and actor with the award winning Tic Toc Theatre Co. based in Coventry for many years and appeared in all of their national and community touring shows as well as hosting comedy nights.  He appeared in the BAFTA Winning film Brown Paper Bag by Geoff Thompson in 2004, and has worked as a freelance creative practitioner supporting young people in the arts. He is an associate artist with Theatre Absolute and is supporting the development of the UK’s first professional Shop Front Theatre in Coventry.
Dan Carey

Dan Carey

Dan has worked regularly in theatre, television and voiceover for the last 25 years. Recent credits include the epic Victoria for ITV1, Fred And Rose for Channel 5, The Middle Aged Road Trip for Independent TV, Transform and 21 Plays for The West Yorkshire Playhouse, The Falling Sickness for Bradford Mill Theatre, No Friends in the North for Radio 4 and Jenkins the Chef in a national advertising campaign for ‘Visa’. Dan is perhaps best known for his role on CBeebies as Rob, The Big Town Baddie in Brum.
Andrew Fettes

Andrew Fettes

Andrew trained at the ‘Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art’.  London West End credits include roles in Steptoe and Son at the Comedy Theatre and Dry Rot at the Lyric Theatre. He has also held television roles in Eastenders, Crimewatch and London’s Burning.   Andrew has a vast theatre CV and also radio/audio and directing experience.
Rodney Paulden

Rodney Paulden

Rodney has a musical theatre education and vast experienced in television commercials, pantomime and voice over work. Rodney holds an extensive murder mystery acting background and television credits include The Two Ronnie’s for BBC television.
Rachael Pennell

Rachael Pennell

Rachael spent several years as a jazz/blues vocalist and cabaret artist, recording three solo albums, headlining at The 100 Club, The 606 and Pizza on the Park and touring throughout Europe and Los Angeles. She returned to theatre in 2005 and has appeared in productions at Birmingham Rep, Lichfield Garrick and Buxton opera House.
Nigel Collins

Nigel Collins

Nigel has spent 33 years in the business before finding dinner theatre and is wondering what took him so long! He has made many appearances on TV amongst others the iconic shows Brideshead Revisited, Harry’s Game, Corrie, Emmerdale and most importantly The Sooty Show. Theatre work has been very varied: West End, repertory, small and large scale touring. Training and corporate films, role-play days and radio drama also keep him busy.
Wren Chapman

Wren Chapman

Wren holds a Lancaster University Theatre Degree with further training from The Actors Centre Barcelona. She toured extensively with the award winning Freerange Theatre. Theatre work includes credits The Dukes Lancaster and The Oldham Collesium. Film credits include Cold Tea for 1:2:1 Productions, The Geri Project for Indigo Films. She has worked for a whole host of training and events companies. Television credits include Coronation Street and a number of adverts for Sky Television and GTV.

A late starter, Michael blames his acting career on a traumatic male menopause and a pushy actor daughter. Michael trained at renowned Mecca of Comedy improv, Second City in Chicago and his TV appearances include Coronation St, Paul in Trying Again (Sky Living and Netflix) and Brian the Serial Killer Caretaker in BBC’s Lunch Monkeys. A regular in major theatre tours.

Nick Chadwin

Nick is a fabulous professional actor and he has played in a number of roles for Laughlines.  In his time he has appeared in theatre and television and now values his time teaching youngsters the art of acting.
